General information about parking copper mountain

Parking at Copper Mountain is a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it to ski on the best terrain in Colorado. You can park in several different lots and there are a few paid options as well. There are also plenty of free spots if you're willing to walk a bit.

To get to the lifts, take the ski resort shuttle from the main parking lot (located just off Highway 67). The shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 6:00am until 11:00pm. Shuttle services also available.

Village shuttle

One bus circulates from East Village through Ten Mile Circle and Passage Point for Center Village, and onto West Village for summer lift access. (Alpine Lot provided upon request). Available between 10 am - 6 pm daily.

Copper Coach

For visitors and property owners spending the night at the resort, Copper Mountain offers a complimentary dial-a-ride service. Copper Coach runs from 8:30 am to 11 pm in the winter and from 10:00 am to 9 pm in the summer. Your call is answered by an automated system.

Parking prices differ depending on the time of day, so it's important to know what you're getting yourself into when planning your trip.

The Alpine and Far East lots, which are located on either side of U.S. Highway 24 on the resort's south side, are Copper Mountain's free parking areas. Skiers can access the resort's three base areas from those parking lots by shuttle buses. The resort's paid parking lots still require reservations.

What do you need to know before purchasing a parking pass?

Parking passes can be purchased online or at the ticket booth. All tickets must be validated before entering the parking lot. Parking passes are good for the day of purchase and are not interchangeable with other pass holders. Parking at Copper Mountain is quite expensive, so it is important to purchase the correct pass for your needs. A parking pass should ideally be purchased in advance. The cost of parking is quite expensive and the passes are not interchangeable with other holders.

You will receive a parking pass when you check in at Copper Mountain Resort if you are staying there overnight. You'll be able to enter the subterranean parking facility using that pass. There will be plenty of space in the ski area parking lots for people who are only coming up for the day.

How do I purchase a parking pass?

There are a few ways to purchase a parking pass at Copper Mountain. The most popular way is to purchase a lift ticket and then use the park’s self-pay parking lot. Park staff can also sell parking passes in the mountain’s base area. If you plan on skiing or riding in the backcountry, you will need to obtain a backcountry permit.

To purchase a lift ticket, go to the main ticket window and present your driver’s license and passport. You will then be given a lift ticket which you will need to bring with you when going up the lifts. In order to use the self-pay lot, go to the main gate and show your lift ticket or backcountry permit.

Summer Camp

At Woodward Copper, you'll have a summer camp experience unlike any other. Ten weeks of on-snow skiing and snowboarding camps are offered by Woodward Copper at the resort's summer terrain park, which is home to the most thrilling summer camp in the Rocky Mountains. This season, a new option allows campers to prioritise their session to concentrate on either all-mountain adventure or the development of their skier and rider skills.

With year-round training options for athletes of all ages and skill levels on and off the slopes, Woodward Copper is recognised as the industry leader in freestyle skiing and snowboarding. For children aged 7 to 17, Woodward Summer Camp offers 10 full weeks of progressional skiing and snowboarding instruction. Only one of its kind in Colorado, the summer terrain park features four acres of rails, jumps, and jibs that are serviced by a surface lift. Campers will have the chance to pick the brains of visiting pro skiers and riders like Red Gerard, Nick Goepper, Hunter Hess, and others while they are on the mountain. The summer camp generally lights out at 10.00 pm. In addition to summer camp, Woodward Copper offers programs all year long including winter ski & snowboard lessons on Copper Mountain, daily sessions at The Barn, and a wide variety of day camps, weekly classes, and weekend programs.
